"The
book which measures 12" x 12," is hand-sewn and bound
in a terracotta linen. From the 108 pages of pure cotton paper
made especially for the book, 27 reproduce in full color part
of the etching series, "Lejos," by American artist,
William Berry.
Made in Oaxaca,
Oaxaca during spring and autumn of 2003, these plates
are reflections on the changing light and color of the landscape
at the ancient
Zapotec site of Dainzú near Oaxaca City. An
original essay in both Spanish and English by Mexican writer and
scholar, Fernando Gálvez de Aguinaga, Director Del Instituto
de Artes Gráficas de Oaxaca, accompanies this unique and
original work. La
Luz de los Colores will be an excellent addition to
your tabletop art collection or library. Please complete the order
form and submit it. A publishers representative will contact you
to assist you with your purchase, if you choose. Copies of the
book, signed by the artist, are available upon request. Thank
you for placing your order with Chichicastle
